Wai Chin earned his Bachelor of Science in 2006 (Biology and Psychology) and his Master of Science in 2011 (Health Science with a concentration in Cardiovascular Health and Disease) from Long Island University, where his educational training included coursework in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Pathophysiology, Medical Diagnosis and Management, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Nutrition and Public Health Administration.

During his studies, Wai was a Strength and Wellness Coach and Team Leader at Long Island University’s Outpatient Care Center where he specialized in the treatment of patients with Parkinson’s Disease, providing instruction and leadership to group participants and supervising 12 student interns.

Wai joined the Pulmonary Wellness & Rehabilitation Center as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in 2012, where his responsibilities include conducting exercise testing and prescription and supervising monitored exercise sessions. Wai is the Lead Clinician in the Center’s strength training program.
